In last year's Christmas game, Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected for a Flagrant Foul 2, Clippers forward Blake Griffin was ejected for picking up two technical fouls, and Warriors center Andrew Bogut incurred a Flagrant Foul 1 for wrapping up Griffin.

In the playoffs, the Clippers eliminated the Warriors in seven games. Los Angeles fell to Oklahoma City in six games in the second round.
