Paul Pierce after buzzer beater: 'I called game'
Sunday May 10th, 2015

Wizards forward Paul Pierce hit a buzzer-beating bank shot to give Washington a 103–101 win over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at the Verizon Center.

With the game tied 101–101 following a three-pointer from Hawks forward Mike Muscala with 14 seconds remaining, Pierce bodied a Hawks defender before hitting the step-back, game-winning jumper over a leaping Kent Bazemore.

Pierce finished with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting (3-of-7 3PT) with seven rebounds in 26 minutes.

The win moved the Wizards to a 2–1 lead in the series after the Hawks grabbed Game 2.

Game 4 will be played Monday in Washington.

After clinching the game, Paul also gave a memorable quote to ESPN's Chris Broussard.
