Sacramento Kings, Sasha Vezenkov Agree to Three-Year Contract, per Report

The Sacramento Kings agreed to terms Saturday with EuroLeague Most Valuable Player Sasha Vezenkov on a three year, $20 million deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Vezenkov, a Cyprus native who has played the past five seasons for Greek club Olympiacos, joins a talented Kings club that is coming off its first playoff appearance since 2006. The Kings finished the regular season at 48-34 and pushed the Warriors to seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

Sacramento acquired the rights to 6’9” forward in the 2022 NBA draft from the Cavaliers in exchange for a second-round pick.

This past EuroLeague season with Olympiacos, Vezenkov averaged 17.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He shot 54.6% from the field and 39.8% from three-point range in 33 EuroLeague games.

Vezenkov joins a talented Sacramento roster that already boasts De'Aaron FoxDomantas SabonisMalik Monk, Keegan Murray and Harrison Barnes.
