76ers’ Nicolas Batum Shares Priceless Reaction to Joel Embiid’s 70-Point Game

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid made NBA history Monday night when he scored an absurd 70 points against the San Antonio Spurs and left the entire sports world in awe. His teammates seemed more happy than he was in the moment and even had some fun at their own expense afterward.

In the locker room after the 133–123 victory, Nicolas Batum took a picture with Embiid and had the perfect caption to celebrate his teammate.

“75 points right there,” Batum said on X, formerly Twitter. “Congrats brother that was special to witness it.”

Batum, of course, contributed five points for Philadelphia and wanted to be sure people didn’t forget.

Embiid, who also grabbed 18 rebounds on the night, broke Wilt Chamberlain’s single-game scoring record for Philadelphia. No one in 76ers history had eclipsed his mark of 68 points since he set the record in 1967.

The reigning MVP is currently leading the NBA in scoring at 36.1 points per game and is looking like the favorite to win the scoring title for the third year in a row.
