Grizzlies Trade Steven Adams to Rockets for Victor Oladipo and Draft Picks, per Report

The first move of NBA trade deadline week is upon us.

With the trade deadline right around the corner on Feb. 8, the Memphis Grizzlies traded veteran center Steven Adams to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Victor Oladipo and three draft picks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.

The Grizzlies acquired two 2024 second-round picks and one 2025 second-round pick, per Wojanarowski.

Adams was ruled out for the entire 2023-24 season with a knee injury in October. He has one year remaining on his contract after this season, however, and is expected to be ready to play in 2024-25.

Adams will provide the Rockets depth behind budding star Alperen Sengun next season.

Oladipo, who hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury in the playoffs last year, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
