Lakers News: What A Win Over Jazz On Tuesday Means For Next In-Season Tournament Round

In this story:

The Los Angeles Lakers have seen an up-and-down season thus far, but they have been more than focused in their games deemed a part of the NBA In-Season Tournament. LA is 3-0 in the tournament games so far, and it feels like they really want to end up winning it all.

The team has a chance on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals with a victory over the Utah Jazz, and it would mean that they went undefeated in the group stage. It has been a great start to the tournament for LA, and they will try to keep it going.

"The Lakers can clinch a berth in the in-season tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night when they host Utah, James and the Lakers having a chance to finish 4-0 in pool play."

Per Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times

The biggest issue for the Lakers this season has been their three-point shooting. It has been very poor at times, but the team has found other ways to win.

LA has struggled to shoot the ball from deep for much of the season, but they are continuing to trust the process. Head coach Darvin Ham isn't too concerned, and he just wants his guys to keep trying.

“We’re getting good looks,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. “We’ve just got to trust our work.”

Per Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times

They are a mentally strong unit, and they keep pushing no matter what the score of the game is. It's a testament to the leadership in place and should see them through.

Hopefully, the Lakers can continue their winning ways in the tournament against the Jazz. It would be awesome for the team to go 4-0 in the group play, and a chance to advance is on the line.
