Free agent quarterback Brady Quinn told Dan Patrick Friday that he had a workout with an NFL team Monday. According to Dan Patrick Show producer Andrew Perloff and ESPN's Field Yates, that team was the New England Patriots.
Quinn declined to identify the team he worked out with, but told Patrick he thought his workout went well, but that "with this particular team, they need something to happen for me to possibly be there."
The Patriots currently have three quarterbacks on their roster: Tom Brady, Ryan Mallett and rookie Jimmy Garoppolo.

Quinn has played for six different franchises since being drafted in the first round out of Notre Dame in 2006. He signed with the Seahawks in April 2013 but was released at the end of the preseason. He then signed with the Jets, where he stayed until October. After he was released by the Jets, Quinn signed with the Rams through the end of the season.
