The Miami Dolphins have removed running back Knowshon Moreno from the physically unable to perform list, the team announced Wednesday.
Moreno, 27, was placed on the PUP list at the beginning of training camp after offseason arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. He will practice for the first time Wednesday, but is not expected to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
This will be Moreno's first season in Miami after spending the first five years of his career with the Denver Broncos. He set career highs last season with 1,038 rushing yards, 548 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns.
Moreno signed a one-year, $3.275 million contract with the Dolphins in March.
