The Miami Dolphins have released quarterback Brady Quinn two weeks after signing him, Quinn announced Tuesday on Twitter.

Quinn worked out for Miami on Aug. 11, along with Rex Grossman and John Skelton, then signed with the team the next day.

Quinn took 14 snaps for the Dolphins during preseason, completing all four of his pass attempts for 22 yards. 

NFL teams are required to cut their rosters to 75 players by 4 p.m. ET Tuesday. 

Quinn is a former 2007 first-round draft pick by the Cleveland Browns. Over six seasons, Quinn has spent time with the Browns, Chiefs, Broncos, Jets and Rams.

His last regular season appearance was with the Chiefs in 2012, when he threw two touchdowns and eight interceptions across 1,141​ yards in eight starts.
