Lions' Calvin Johnson to play against Bills

DETROIT (AP) Receiver Calvin Johnson will start for the Detroit Lions despite a sore ankle, while the Buffalo Bills will be minus two defensive starters on Sunday.

Bills three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kyle Williams (right knee) and linebacker Nigel Bradham (left knee) are both listed as inactive. They were hurt in a 23-17 loss at Houston last weekend.

For Detroit, Johnson is active despite practicing sparingly this past week. The injury limited him to catching just two passes for 12 yards in a 24-17 win at the New York Jets last weekend.

The Lions will be without running backs Joique Bell (concussion) and Theo Riddick (hamstring). Detroit welcomes back starting right tackle LaAdrian Waddle, who missed the past three games with a calf injury.
