NFL Week 14 odds: Previewing Sunday's slate

The Cincinnati Bengals now have a bit of breathing room in the AFC North race thanks to last week's results, and they're pegged as a favorite in the opening Week 14 betting lines against one of their division rivals for this Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Bengals opened as a four-point home favorite against the Pittsburgh Steelers for their matchup on Sunday afternoon, and Cincinnati is coming off a slim 14-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13 that didn't cover the 3.5-point spread but does have them in first place in the AFC North standings at 8-3-1 SU and 6-5-1 ATS on the season. The Steelers, meanwhile, are 7-5 SU and 5-7 ATS on the season after they were upset 35-32 by New Orleans over the weekend as five-point favorites. The Bengals are just 2-6 both SU and ATS in their last eight games against the Steelers according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns are also at 7-5 SU on the season and tied with the Steelers in the thick of the AFC wild-card race heading into Week 14. The Browns (6-5-1 ATS) are coming off a 26-10 loss to the Bills as a three-point road underdog, and they're three-point home underdogs this week on the opening lines against Indianapolis. The Ravens (7-5 ATS) fell 34-33 to the Chargers last week as a seven-point favorite, and they've opened as a three-point road underdog for their Week 14 matchup against Miami.

First Down/Fourth Down: Broncos trim weaknesses as playoffs approach

As for the other playoff contenders in the AFC, the New England Patriots were set as a three-point road favorite on the opening lines against the San Diego Chargers for Sunday Night Football, while the Denver Broncos are nine-point home favorites against the Buffalo Bills. The Kansas City Chiefs opened as a 1.5-point road dog for their game against the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are trying to hold off the Seahawks in the NFC West, with Seattle now just one game behind them but opening as a 1.5-point road underdog against the Philadelphia Eagles on the Week 14 NFL betting lines. The Eagles bounced the Dallas Cowboys last Thursday in their Thanksgiving matchup, with Dallas back in action on Thursday night this week as a 4.5-point road favorite on the opening betting lines against the Bears.

Other notable games for Sunday include Carolina at New Orleans (-9), Tampa Bay at Detroit (-8.5), and San Francisco at Oakland (+7), while the Green Bay Packers opened as big 10.5-point home favorites against the Atlanta Falconsin Monday Night Football. Green Bay faced Atlanta last season as well, winning 22-21 at home but failing to cover the 3.5-point spread.
