Second regional combine date near Chicago added in March

The NFL has added a second regional combine date near Chicago for college players ahead of the 2015 draft. There will now be a regional combine on March 7 and 8 in Lake Forest, Ill. The combine is for players eligible for the 2015 draft that played college football during the 2014 season and have no remaining college eligibility. Kickers and punters will not be included in the combine.

The NFL has added a second regional combine date near Chicago for college players ahead of the 2015 draft, the league announced on Friday.

There will now be a regional combine on March 7 and 8 in Lake Forest, Ill. The combine is for players eligible for the 2015 draft that played college football during the 2014 season and have no remaining college eligibility. Kickers and punters will not be included in the combine.

Miami hosted a combine last Saturday, while the next four Saturdays will have combines in Houston, Denver, Baltimore and the pair in Chicago. Standout players will be invited to the Super Regional Combine scheduled for March 21 in Arizona.

After the Super Regional, the NFL will hold its inaugural veterans combine for roughly 100 free agents.

The regional combines are not connected with next week's Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
