The Dallas Cowboys have signed fullback Jed Collins to a one-year contract, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Collins, 29, spent last season with the Detroit Lions.

He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State in 2008 but did not play in a regular-season game until 2011 with the New Orleans Saints.

Over 16 games last season, Collins caught five passes for 39 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 19 yards on eight carries.

Collins could replace Tyler Clutts, who is currently a free agent.
