Watch: Russell Wilson homers during Rangers batting practice
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is attending Texas Rangers spring training camp on Saturday and hit a home run during batting practice.
Wilson is scheduled to train with Rangers players, dress for a game against the San Diego Padres and later have a "group session" with minor league players.

Besides batting practice, he also took grounders before the game.
He then delivered the lineup card for the team's game against the San Diego Padres.
Wilson played baseball in high school and was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 41st round of the 2007 MLB draft before going to North Carolina State to play quarterback.

Wilson was drafted again as a second baseman by the Colorado Rockies in the fourth round of the 2010 draft and played second base in Single-A ball for two seasons with Tri-City and Asheville. He hit .230 in 32 games with Tri-City in 2010 and .228 with Asheville in 2011.
The Rangers acquired Wilson from the Rockies in December 2013 in the Major League Baseball Rule 5 draft. He also appeared at the Rangers' spring training facility last year after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl.
