New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan said multiple teams have called asking if Muhammad Wilkerson is on the trading block after the team selected Leonard Williams in the first round of the draft, according to the New York Daily News.

Maccagnan emphasized the team is not currently looking to move the 25-year-old lineman, despite his decision to skip the Jets' offseason program while he negotiates for a new contract with the team.

The decision to draft another defensive end in Williams does not mean that Wilkerson is on his way out the door, Maccagnan told ESPN Radio.

Colts GM sent NFL concerns about Patriots before AFC title game

"It doesn’t really impact Mo directly in that sense ... Mo is a good player, he’s part of this organization, he’s currently under contract, we’d like to keep him in this organization. And we just have to go through a process with him to figure out if we can find a middle ground.”

Before the draft, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that at least two teams were interested in trading for Wilkerson.

Wilkerson had six sacks and 31 tackles in 13 games for the Jets in 2014.
