New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Galette “is currently evaluating his options on whether to undergo surgery” on an injured pectoral muscle, Mike Garafolo and Ross Jones of FOX Sports report

Garafolo and Jones report that it isn't clear how Galette was injured or whether he would be able to play through the injury.

Galette led the Saints with 10 sacks last season and put up 12 in 2013, second only to Cameron Jordan, who had 12.5. Galette has played in all 32 of the Saints' games in the past two seasons and made 28 starts.

Galette, 27, was undrafted out of Division-II Stillman College in 2010 and saw action in four games as a rookie. He signed a four-year contract extension reportedly worth up to $41.5 million in September.
