How to watch Vikings vs. 49ers: Live stream, TV information
The Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers play in the second game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader to start the season.
The Vikings will pair running back Adrian Peterson and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, a 2014 first-round pick, for the first time in a regular season game. Peterson was suspended for most of 2014 after he was indicted on charges of child abuse in September. Bridgewater took over as Minnesota’s starting quarterback last season after Matt Cassel was injured in Week 3. He finished the season with a passer rating of 85.2.
The 49ers have lost coach Jim Harbaugh, running back Frank Gore, linebackers Patrick Willis and Aldon Smith, and defensive linemen Justin Smith and Ray McDonald. Head coach Jim Tomsula will lean heavily upon quarterback Colin Kaepernick and 23-year-old running back Carlos Hyde on offense.
