Report: AJ McCarron to start for Bengals vs. Broncos

With Sunday's victory McCarron became the first Alabama quarterback to start and win an NFL game since 1987.

AJ McCarron will start at quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Denver Broncos on Monday night, head coach Marvin Lewis announced according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

McCarron started in Sunday's 24–14 win over the San Francisco 49ers and finished the day 15 for 21 passing with 192 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals' offense still put together their fewest total yards (242) and pass yards (174) of the season. An early 21–0 lead going into half-time was enoughto hold on for the victory.

Starting quarterback Andy Dalton continues to be sidelined by a thumb injury.
