Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told 105.3 The Fan Monday that quarterback Kellen Moore will be starting on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

In his first career appearance in a regular season game against the New York Jets on Saturday, Moore threw one touchdown and three interceptions.

The Cowboys were officially eliminated from playoff contention with a 19–16 loss.

“We felt like he did good things for us. Unfortunately, the turnovers he made weren't good, but hopefully he'll learn from the experiences and gives us a chance to move the ball and score some points up there,” Garrett said.

Moore is the fourth quarterback to start for the Cowboys this season. Tony Romo broke his collarbone twice, while Brandon Weeden was released after starting three games. Matt Cassel was benched on Saturday in favor of Moore.

Moore was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad at the start of the season. The Cowboys called him up to the active roster after Romo initially broke his collarbone in September.

Moore was Weeden’s backup quarterback for two games, but was then released and re-signed to the practice squad in November. When Romo broke his collarbone for the second time against the Panthers, Moore was called back up to the active roster to serve as backup to Cassel.
