Seahawks sign guard Jahri Evans
The Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of veteran guard Jahri Evans on Saturday.
The Seattle Seahawks have signed offensive guard Jahri Evans, the team announced Saturday.
Evans, 32, is a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro, spending his entire career with the Saints. He was released by New Orleans this off-season after 10 years with the team.
Seattle boasted the league’s third-best rushing offense last season, but ran for just 10 touchdowns. The Seahawks’ offensive line allowed 46 sacks, placing them just outside the bottom-five in pass protection.
The Seattle Times reported this week that Evans’s contract would likely be a one-year deal.
The Seahawks waived guard Kona Schwenke in a corresponding move.
