Nigel Bradham back at practice with Eagles after arrest

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was back at practice Wednesday after being arrested at Miami International Airport on a misdemeanor concealed weapons charge Sunday.

Authorities say TSA workers found a loaded gun in Bradham's backpack.

''I forgot,'' Bradham said after practice. ''It's as simple as that. Obviously, it was unintended.''

Philadelphia coach Doug Pederson was surprised by the incident.

''I don't know why anybody would do that,'' Pederson said. ''Listen, I have rifles, I like to hunt, same thing. Just have to be smart. But it is a little surprising that he carried it (into the airport). Guys have got to make better decisions when they're away from the building.''

Bradham was charged with assault in July, also in Miami.

''I just have to be a lot more responsible,'' Bradham said.

Pederson said he's concerned about Bradham's actions.

''Both of these were incidents that were away from here, and they're out of your control that way. And this is where guys need to just be smart about it,'' Pederson said.

Bradham could face a suspension by the NFL. Pederson wouldn't rule out team discipline.

''Until the whole legal process pans out, obviously from the league, they've got to look at it the same way I've got to look at it,'' Pederson said.

Bradham has played well in his first three games with the Eagles (3-0) after spending his first four seasons in Buffalo. He has one interception and has played 96 percent of the defensive snaps for the league's top-ranked unit.
