Cole Beasley Signs With Giants
The Giants are adding a reliable veteran receiver for quarterback Daniel Jones, having agreed to terms with 11-year pro Cole Beasley on Friday, the team announced.
Beasley, 34, will head to New York to reunite with coach Brian Daboll, his former offensive coordinator with the Bills, in a move that will also mark his return to the NFC East.
An undrafted wideout who spent his first six seasons in the division with the Cowboys, Beasley is coming off a 2022 season in which he proved he still has something left in the tank during a brief stint with the Bills.
Beasley returned to Buffalo, where he previously played from 2019 to ’21, as a late-season addition in December, roughly a month after announcing his retirement following a two-game stint with the Buccaneers.
In two regular-season games with the Bills, Beasley amassed just two catches for 18 yards, but it was in the postseason where he truly made his mark. The 2020 second-team All-Pro selection logged a combined five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins and Bengals.
Following the ’22 season, Beasley enthusiastically expressed his desire to continue playing.
“This is probably the healthiest I’ve ended a season in a long time,” he told reporters in February. “It’s weird this season is ending, because I feel like I just got here. I feel like I was just starting to get back in my groove a little bit, so it’s frustrating, but I look forward to hopefully getting another opportunity.”
