Brady Tkachuk’s Mom Watched His Fight on Pins and Needles

The NHL’s Tkachuk brothers really have put on a show for their family over the past few weeks.

Back on Nov. 27, Matthew’s Panthers and Brady’s Senators met for the first time this season in a game in Ottawa that featured an enormous fight. The Tkachuks had plenty of family members in the stands for that game, including their grandma, Geraldine, who was shocked by what she saw when the players started brawling.

Thursday night presented another opportunity for Brady to play in front of family as the Senators traveled to his hometown of St. Louis to face the Blues. Once again, Brady was at the center of an on-ice scuffle. Midway through the second period, Tkachuk dropped his gloves to fight the Blues’ Tyler Tucker.

Up in the Tkachuk family box, everyone was paying rapt attention as the fight progressed. No one seemed to be more interested in what was going on than Brady’s mom, Chantal.

It has to be nerve-wracking for a mother when her son is going toe to toe with another player in a fight. But Brady learned from the best. His father, Keith, had plenty of fights during his 18-year NHL career. And Brady held a significant size advantage over Tucker. It’s no surprise he came out on top.
