The Minnesota Vikings have demoted Fred Pagac from defensive coordinator to linebackers coach, a source has told the Pioneer Press.

The Vikings have been reportedly interviewing candidates to replace Pagac over the past several weeks, including former Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris.

It is believed that current linebackers coach, and former San Francisco 49ers head coach, Mike Singletary, is a candidate for the defensive coordinator position. The 3-13 Vikings allowed the second most points in the NFC last season.
