According to Evan Silva of ProFootballTalk, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on "NFL Live" tonight that the Cincinnati Bengals have expressed interest in free-agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Edwards, 29, has been on the open market since the San Francisco 49ers released him on Dec. 27. He had a miserable first season in San Fran, recording just 15 receptions in nine games.
Edwards was rehabbing knee and shoulder injuries toward the end of last season and continuing into the offseason; his health concerns have considerably limited his value on the open market.
It was reported weeks ago that the New York Jets also had interest in Edwards, who played for the Jets previously between 2008 and '10.
