Horace Grant, who was with Michael Jordan's Bulls during their first three-peat from 1991-93, doesn't think LeBron James' Heat could hang with his Chicago teams.

"The Heat wouldn't have had a chance," Grant said Tuesday on WSCR-AM in Chicago, according to ESPNChicago.com. "We would have locked them up. We would have locked them up. Especially with the rules today, Michael would have had a field day."

The Heat are aiming for a three-peat against the Spurs in this year's NBA Finals. Miami is playing in its fourth straight finals, which Jordan's Bulls never did. Jordan took a hiatus to play baseball after the first three-peat and didn't return until late in the 1994-95 season.

Grant, 48, is pulling for San Antonio, which hosts Game 1 on Thursday.

"My fingers and toes are crossed that San Antonio wins just for the fact of being a fan of [coach Gregg] Popovich and the way that organization carries itself and the guys on the floor: Tim Duncan, [Manu] Ginobili, [Tony] Parker, [Kawhi] Leonard," Grant said. "I'm a big San Antonio fan."

Grant won three titles with Chicago and another with the Lakers in 2001.
