Oscar De La Hoya may be 47 years old but that’s not stopping him from returning to the ring.

De La Hoya told ESPN, "The rumors are true, and I'm going to start sparring in the next few weeks." He went on to say, "I miss being in the ring, I love boxing. Boxing is what gave me everything I have today, and I just miss it."

De La Hoya won’t be doing an exhibition fight like fellow retired champions Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. He has made it clear that this will be a real fight and he’s already started getting back in shape for it.

It’s been 12 years since De La Hoya fought his last fight but the 11-time title winner is ready to end his retirement.
