College football odds: Prep for points in Florida State-Clemson matchup
The No. 1 Florida State Seminoles are 4-2 SU in their last six games against the No. 22 Clemson Tigers but are just 2-4 ATS over that stretch. Florida State hosts its ACC Atlantic rival this Saturday night in Tallahassee but must play the first half without Heisman winning quarterback Jameis Winston, who will serve his suspension for “offensive and vulgar” comments.
Clemson is 7-2 ATS in its last nine games against the Seminoles including a current stretch of 4-1 ATS over its last five. The Tigers are a 16.5-point underdog at Florida State, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, a shift from the game’s 20-point spread prior to Winston’s suspension.

The Seminoles own college football's longest active winning streak at 18-0 SU but will be looking for a sharper performance this week against Clemson. Florida State looked shaky on defense in a 37-31 win over Oklahoma State and shaky on offense in a 37-12 win over Citadel that should have been a cakewalk as a 56.5-point favorite.
Clemson’s battle with Florida State will kick off at 8:00 pm at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.
This game will be Clemson's second road contest against a ranked opponent in its first three games after opening the season on the road against Georgia. The Tigers lost that season opener 45-31 before taking out their aggression on South Carolina State in a 73-7 blowout the next week. Clemson is 12-5 ATS in its last 17 games as a road underdog.

The OVER is 10-2-1 in Florida State's last 13 home games, according to the OddsShark College Football Database, and 5-1 in the last six games between the Seminoles and the Tigers. Florida State did most of the scoring in last year's 51-14 blowout win over Clemson in Death Valley.
Not much can be gleaned from last year's game as Clemson is an entirely different team on offense this year with so many new starters at every skill position, and Florida State has not been playing at last season's level so far and will certainly look different without Winston in the first half.
