CINCINNATI — The latest NET Rankings are out, and the Cincinnati Bearcats moved down a few spots. Wes Miller's crew slots in at No. 48 in this week's check-up. They were ranked 45th in the opening rankings on Dec. 6.

The Bearcats faced just one opponent over the past seven days, and it wasn't pretty. Xavier rolled Cincinnati 83-63 in the Crosstown Shootout on Saturday night. Musketeer center Jack Nunge poured in career-highs in points (31) and rebounds (15), making sure Cincinnati went another two years without a win at the Cintas Center. The Bearcats haven't won at Xavier since 2001.

Miller's team is now 1-2 against Quad 1 and 2 teams with a win over (NET) No. 32 Illinois and the loss to No. 15 Xavier. Their other big-game loss came against No. 67 Arkansas.

The Bearcats don't have many chances to gain ground before AAC games begin. Cincinnati plays one Quad 4 or better game the rest of the way, with Florida A&M (No. 321), Texas Southern (No. 194), and Tennessee Tech (No. 265) remaining in non-conference play.

Tuesday's game against Florida A&M (2-6, 0-6 against D1 opponents) tips off at 7 p.m. ET from Fifth Third Arena and airs on ESPN+.
