In the 77-71 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the Matthew Knight Arena on Feb. 2, the Ducks struggled on three-pointers while going 5-for-20 from deep (25.0 percent). On the season, Oregon's three-point percentage has continued to drop at 33.1 now which ranks No. 234 in the country.

“They have been very good at home, both (Michigan) teams. We’re going to have to play our tails off to give ourselves an opportunity. We’re in the tough part of the schedule, four of five on the road and (Sunday against Nebraska) was our only home game.”

The Ducks and the Wolverines have some history together as they had a home-and-home series which resulted in two overtime wins for the Oregon program (71-70 in Ann Arbor in 2019 and 68-83 in Eugene in 2023.

Michigan coach Dusty May has one of college basketball's best frontcourts which bodes for a long night for Oregon seven-foot center Nate Bittle. Yale Bulldogs transfer Danny Wolf is tied for No. 1 in the Big Ten in rebounding with 10.0 per game. Florida Atlantic Owls transfer Vladislav Goldin is No. 14 in the Big ten in scoring with 15.6 per game on the league's No. 2 field goal percentage at 64.0.

“We’re going to have to man up here a little bit and swing away. Our guys are capable but we’re going to have to change some things. We’re going to have to get much more physical and much more aggressive on the defensive end. We’re going to have to get our ball movement where we can get a little better shots for our offense.”

Key for the Ducks to come away with a victory on the road is to continue to get in the passing lanes and pressure ball-handlers like they have done all season (7.1 steals per game). The Wolverines lead the Big Ten in turnovers at 14.8 per contest which is the most in the entire conference. Altman must be enforcing his guards to take advantage of their carelessness with the ball.

Despite Oregon's downward spiral, they still have eight Quad 1 wins on the season to go along with a No. 37 NET ranking. According to ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, the Ducks are predicted to be the West Region of the NCAA Tournament's No. 6 seed in Wichita, Kansas.

According to FanDuel, the Wolverines are favored to win against the Ducks. The spread is currently 8.5 points in favor of Michigan, and the the over/under points total is set at 154.5. Money line for Oregon is +315 and -410 for Michigan.
