The Brandon Huntley-Hatfield Blog: Chats with College Coaches, Back From Injury, 'Nightstalker' and More

Huntley-Hatfield said Tennessee, Syracuse, Ole Miss and Auburn have been the most consistent.

Scotland (Penn.) star Brandon Huntley-Hatfield is one of the top forwards in the country with a “who’s who” list of college suitors all applying the full-court recruiting press. After dominating showings on the summer circuit, at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) last season and at USA Basketball, he’s agreed to give SI All-American exclusive access into his world by chronicling everything in his world into a monthly blog.

What’s up world, it’s Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, welcome to my blog!

Just want to give you a glimpse into what my life is like as a student athlete, so let’s get into it!

Well, I’m coming back off an injury last week, so it feels good to be back to playing this game I love.

I had been out for a couple of weeks, just making sure I’m taking my time with it.

I feel like I’ll be at full strength really soon!

School is virtual for me right now, and I actually like that.

It’s, obviously, more laid back, but I’m the kind of person that’s always gonna get his work done, so it’s not a big deal for me.

I still like my Bible class the most right now. I just like to learn about it and it gives me a chance to get closer to God. That’s never a bad thing!

My recruitment is going pretty well.

I talked to Syracuse, Tennessee and Ole Miss here recently, just good conversations checking in and asking more questions.

Tennessee, Syracuse, Ole Miss and Auburn have been keeping in touch with me the most consistently right now. I’m just taking things day by day, but I will say that I think about my recruitment a lot more these days.

I’m looking at the rosters and who will likely be there when I get there and things like that. I’m just doing all of my research.

I started watching this documentary on a serial killer on Netflix, it’s called Nightstalker and it’s pretty wild. It’s interesting to see stuff like that. I like documentaries and just learning about different, random things.

OK, so I’m listening to a lot of Pooh Shiesty, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Uzi, Summer Walker and SZA too!

I would recommend them all!

OK, guys just wanted to give you an update on a couple of things that are going on with me right now, but check back soon for my next one.

Thanks for reading and stay safe out there guys!
