Assuming there's a positive correlation between a marriage proposal's degree of difficulty and level of romanticism, Matthew Gencarella's approach—to get down on a knee while wakeboarding—certainly outclasses popping the question at a sporting event, or in a mall food court.
That said, while you have to admire the confidence Gencarella clearly has in his own athleticism and coordination, it would've been infinitely more impressive if he had brought the ring out with him for the proposal instead of presenting it later. Go big or go home, y'know?
