Former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher will become the latest Chicago athlete to appear on stage when he appears in a production of A Christmas Carol later this month. This inspired me to take a look through the archives and see what other actors have appeared on stage, starting with Joe Namath's 1997 performance in Anton Chekhov's play, The Seagull.

Happy Birthday to Roy

Justin Timberlake stopped his concert in Indianapolis last night to lead a Happy Birthday sing-along for Pacers center Roy Hibbert.

Make Him Sportsman of the Year!

SI writers and athletes have been handing out their choices for 2013 Sportsman of the Year for the past couple weeks so I figure it's time I throw my hat in the ring. I nominate Christopher McComas, an IT specialist at Marshall University who saw on Twitter that the University of North Dakota was looking for a new head football coach and decided to apply. In his application, McComas highlighted his wealth of video game experience and drew up a nine-page Power Point presentation explaining how he can make UND a national power by throwing the ball all the time.

SI Swimsuit model Alyssa Miller looks incredible in the new issue of Galore, which inspired me to put together a gallery of her best swimsuit photos. And if you're really really into Miller, check out this interview I did with her about her dog back in February.

Happy Holidays From USC Swim

This is just creepy.

The $104,000 Sneakers

The sneakers Michael Jordan wore during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, the famous flu game, sold for $104,765 at auction.

SI Vault Photos of the Day

Doc Rivers received nothing but cheers in his return to Boston last night. But he wasn't always Mr. Popular in Beantown. In these two photos, Rivers nearly brawls with Beantown legend Larry Bird during a heated 1987 game at the Boston Garden. For more classic athlete pics, follow the SI Vault on Twitter. While you’re at it, follow me on Twitter as well as SI’s Extra Mustard.

What a Guy

Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph left the bench during last night's game against Oklahoma City so he could give his warm-up jersey to a fan with special needs sitting nearby. In a related story, Randolph won the November Kia Community Assist Award earlier that day. For a really good profile of Randolph, check out this piece Jonathan Abrams wrote for Grantland last year.

Odds and Ends

New Nationals pitcher Jerry Blevins had a great tweet after finding out he was traded ... Dodgers manager Don Mattingly claims the Cardinals were stealing signs during the 2013 NLCS ... Not sure why, but John Mayer hung out with Joe Torre and Tony LaRussa on Sunday ... Rant Lifestyle has ranked the best Seinfeld minor characters.

Iron Bowl Christmas Tribute

An Auburn fan set up his Christmas lights so they'll sync up with Rod Bramblett’s histrionic radio call of Chris Davis’ game-winning touchdown.

Jeopardy Takes a Shot at Barry Bonds

Even Jeopardy is having fun at the former Giants outfielder's expense.

The Doctor is in the House

The Celtics paid tribute to former coach Doc Rivers upon his return to Boston last night.

Billy on the Street

I'm a huge fan of Billy Eichner, so I was psyched to see this new video of Eichner and Amy Poehler bombarding pedestrians with Christmas carols.
