Eighth Grader Sinks Full-Court Shot to Win Game, Then Makes Shot Again Just for Fun

Wednesday January 15th, 2014

Easton Gamoke, an eighth grader at Winona Middle School in Minnesota, gets buckets.

Gets. Buckets.

As can be seen in the video above, narrated by one of the characters from Fargo, Gamoke heaved what seemed to be a once-in-a-lifetime shot to win a game in overtime. Oh my gosh, indeed. The shot landed Gamoke a SportsCenter cameo as well as unlimited street cred.

With the notoriety came media attention, and this middle schooler did not disappoint.

Asked to replicate his shot (presumably in order to prove how difficult it was to make) for KMSP-TV in Minnesota, Gamoke calmly stepped up and hit the shot again -- on his first try. And as luck would have it, the same lady was filming it (she's as much a part of this story as anyone else now) and gave us a couple of more "Oh my gosh!" exclamations for the road.
