Obama's Staff Wouldn't Let Him Watch College Basketball before the State of the Union

While waiting to give his annual State of the Union address last night, President Obama tried to catch up on some Big Ten hoops action by turning on the Michigan State-Iowa game on ESPN ... but was overruled by staffers who preferred to watch C-SPAN.
Told that in the Capitol hold room Obama wanted ESPN but said staff prefer he watch the filing in on C-SPAN ahead of #SOTU

The game went to overtime, so the president likely would not have caught the end anyway, but it does seem crazy that the President of the United States does not have total command of all TV remotes when he is in a room. How did they leave that out of the Constitution?
