American University Player Displayed an Interesting One-Handed Free Throw Style

Thursday March 20th, 2014

American University center Tony Wroblicky has an unconventional free throw style, firing the ball up one-handed and making them at a 72 percent clip.

The odd looking motion was actually the idea of first year American coach Mike Brennan, and it has improved the senior's FT% by nearly 20 points in just one season.

Wroblicky had some trouble in his first game with the new style, going 3 for 9 with two air balls from the stripe, but he tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel his coach's insistence has paid off.

"Coach Brennan didn't really give me a choice. I just stuck with it and it's been working."
