Michael Strahan really hated being a dishwasher

It's easy to forget that famous athletes were once high school kids in need of little extra cash. Take Michael Strahan for instance, who once worked as a dishwasher on an Army base in Germany. He talked all about it in a video for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Strahan, the son of an Army major, moved to Mannheim, Germany, when he was nine years old.

It's safe to say that playing in the NFL was a better way to earn money than scrubbing dishes. Even after retiring from football, his jobs are pretty glamorous—certainly more glamorous than washing dishes. The seven-time Pro Bowler is an NFL analyst for FOX, and also co-hosts Live! with Kelly and Michael on ABC. They probably pay better than washing dishes.
