Timbers coach Caleb Porter calls out rival during ice bucket challenge

Following in the footsteps of the Milwaukee BrewersNHL stars and many others (including Martha Stewart), Portland Timbers coach Caleb Porter accepted the “Ice Bucket Challenge”, a charity initiative started by former Boston College baseball player Pete Frates to raise awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), aka “Lou Gehrig's disease.”

The video of Porter being soaked in ice water was uploaded to the Timbers' Facebook page earlier tonight, and the coach added a unique twist: while calling out Jurgen Klinsmann, Alex Morgan and John Canzano to douse themselves, he also issued the challenge to Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola who notoriously refused to shake hands with Porter after last week’s MLS All-Star game. For added effect, Porter added a fun little gesture when mentioning Guardiola — undoubtedly all in the name of a good cause.
