Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton annihilates a baseball, wins fans free beer

Tuesday August 12th, 2014

Miami Marlins rightfielder Giancarlo Stanton is great at baseball, particularly the part where you hit a ball as far as you can.

He showed off that skill set on Monday night with a two-homer game, the second of which went onto the Marlins Park Budweiser Balcony, earning fans in that section a free beer.

Stanton's blast traveled a mammoth 470 feet, the Marlins announcers reported.

If free beer and 470-foot home runs can't get the people of Miami to show up to a baseball game, maybe all hope is lost.
