Student reportedly breaks world record for pogo mile
Can you run a mile in 10 minutes? If so, you're about as fast on two feet as Staffordshire student Jack Sexton is on his pogo stick.
The 24-year-old has reportedly broken the world record for the fastest pogo mile, turning in a ridiculous time of 10:02 at Pogopalooza Xpogo over the weekend. Sexton shattered the previous record by over two minutes. All that's left is for the people at Guinness to provide verification. (You can get a glimpse at Sexton's training routine below.)
"Having trouble getting internet because of connection issues/drunkeness," Sexton wrote on his Facebook wall after the event, "but I can confirm that I pogoed a mile in 10 minutes 2 seconds this morning, knocking 2 minutes 14 seconds off the previous record. Massive thanks to @Xpogo for organising, and for turning ideas inside my head into a reality!"
Back in April, Sexton became the first person to complete a marathon while on a pogo stick, covering the course in about 16 hours.
