The students gathered in the streets surrounding Beaver Stadium and for some reason began chanting and singing the National Anthem.

The students also chanted the name of longtime coach Joe Paterno, as well as "409," Paterno's win total, which was reduced significantly by the NCAA as part of the punishment.
