As if a MLB record 29-season playoff drought wasn't enough of a reason for the people of Kansas City to root for the Royals in Tuesday's wild card playoff game against the Oakland Athletics, here's another reason. If the Royals win, one lucky fan will own an adorable new pet.

A female fan was captured holding a banner sign on the TBS broadcast of the game featuring a dog wearing the Royals' crown, had an arrow pointing at the man next to her and read, "If the Royals win he's buying me a puppy."
