This is how Terry Pegula's daughter found out her dad bought the Bills
The sale of the Buffalo Bills to Terry Pegula was made official Wednesday morning during a league vote, and when it was completed he sent his daughter a hilariously matter-of-fact text about the family's newest toy.
Jessie Pegula is a professional tennis player and was working on her game when her dad conveyed the news in the fewest words possible.

While the vote was mainly just a formality, with Pegula being the de facto owner for over a month, the text is still pretty blasé. One would assume buying an NFL franchise would at least warrant a few emojis, even if one already owns an NHL team.

The Bills beat the Chargers 20-7 to win their first AFL championship. Jack Kemp rushed for a touchdown in the victory.
Jan. 3, 1993
The Bills beat the Oilers 41-38 in what is still regarded as the greatest comeback in NFL history. The Oilers led Buffalo 35-3 in the third quarter before the Bills scored five consecutive touchdowns, four thrown by backup quarterback Frank Reich. Steve Christie kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime to cap the comeback.

Buffalo blanks favored San Diego 23-0 for its second straight AFL championship and the last of the pre-Super Bowl era. Butch Byrd breaks game open with 74-yard punt return in second quarter. The Chargers, who had scored 54 points in two regular-season games vs. Bills, never advance past Buffalo 24-yard line.

The Bills beat the Raiders 51-3 to advance to their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
Jan. 23, 1994
Thurman Thomas runs for three touchdowns and the Bills win their fourth consecutive AFC crown. They are the first team in NFL history to appear in four consecutive Super Bowls.
