The human body is a funny thing. Some people are fit enough to run 26.2 miles on chilly November morning. But after running through each of New York's five boroughs, even descending the stairs into the subway becomes an ordeal.
The lesson here is simple: Never run. Running is bad for you. You should only maintain a level of fitness which allows you climb the stairs out of the subway without too much trouble. Anything else is excessive.
