Brandon McCarthy is using his dog's No. 2 to choose his No. 1

It bears repeating: Brandon McCarthy is the only athlete worth following on Twitter.

McCarthy is a free agent, and is a pretty hot commodity after posting a 2.89 ERA in 14 starts for the Yankees this season. He'll surely field calls from the majority of MLB teams.

But as hard as general managers try to plead their cases, it might not make a difference. McCarthy is looking to see if his dog's droppings resemble any team's logo.
