Grambling-Mississippi Valley State game interrupted by sprinklers

Friday November 7th, 2014

A Thursday night SWAC game between Grambling and Mississippi Valley State had an unplanned stoppage late in the first half when the sprinkler system at Rice-Totten Field turned on.

The MVSU Delta Devils mascot tried to make the best of a bad situation with a run through the sprinklers, although his attempted at a chest slide did not go so smoothly.

The Delta Devils led Grambling 17-14 before the sprinklers stopped the game, but Grambling scored two more touchdowns before the half ended and held on for a 38-23 road win.
