Jose Canseco says he's selling the gun that shot his finger off

Jose Canseco's dearly departed left middle finger is the gift that keeps on giving.

Canseco now says he's selling the gun which fired the fateful bullet:

That's a pretty sweet gun. The scorpion on the stock is nice touch.

But this can't be legal, can it? Aren't there strict protocols for buying guns, like background checks and waiting periods? You can't just send Jose Canseco a couple hundred bucks on PayPal and have him put a deadly weapon in the mail.
