#tbt: Leon Lett's Thanksgiving Day blunder

What better moment to revisit on this Thanksgiving edition of #tbt than the infamous Thanksgiving blunder.

What better moment to revisit on this Thanksgiving edition of #tbt than the infamous Thanksgiving blunder?

Every year, fans are reminded of that snowy 1993 game between the Cowboys and the Dolphins. The Cowboys were up 14-13 in the final seconds when they blocked a potential game-winning field goal by the Dolphins. All Dallas had to do was not touch the ball, and the win was theirs. But in came Leon Lett, who apparently didn’t get the memo. The Cowboys defensive tackle (playing special teams for the first time) kicked the ball while trying to recover it. Miami jumped on it to regain possession, kicked a field goal and won the game.

Poor guy. And just one season after that embarrassing Super Bowl gaffe.

Well, on the bright side, at least you know Snickers has forgiven you.
