A clever Redskins fan has made a parody of Elton John's hit "Candle in the Wind" to describe the career path of Robert Griffin III.

The song does a good job of covering Griffin's arc in the NFL so far, from Washington's blockbuster trade to acquire him, through his impressive rookie season up to his recent benching that many believe has ended his career with the team.

The song even ends on a somewhat hopeful note with the lyric "You might figure it out one day/ Just not for the Redskins."

The song is a lot different than the one fans were writing about RGIII at training camp just a few months ago.
