In weird news of the week, a girl's high school basketball game was delayed for 45 minutes after the rim broke on a free throw attempt.

The game was between General McLane and Mercer High Schools during a tournament in Pennsylvania, according to ESPN.

The ball bounced off the front part of the rim, causing the whole thing to come crashing to the ground.

Let's hope the next rim they put up was a bit more durable.
